MEET THE BAND

Formed in 2010, the Eastern Hellbenders are a group of seasoned professional musicians who came together over to their mutual love of alternative and classic rock music.  The band has enjoyed playing regularly in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey bar/restaurant/festival scene for the past several years.  Influenced by the current popular acoustic/folk/alternative bands that are dominating the radio today - as well as the classic rock hits of the past, Eastern Hellbenders strive to play music in its purest, acoustic form.

You'll hear some of the greatest music recorded in the last 40 years during their sets, from classic rock songs of the 70's to the 00's as well as current alternative rock hits on the radio today. Some of the artists include:

Lead vocalists Kara & Donna DeLucia are a unique mother/daughter duo whose harmonies have a warmth to them that can only be led back to their familiar bond.  Kara's soulful and standout alto voice sets the tone for the band's indie sound; she has been singing professionally since she was 14 years old, and is currently a student at Drexel University where she further hones her talents by studying all aspects of performance and sound.
Donna is a former lead singer of the popular PA/NJ bands Prankster and Bandito and toured with the Wizards of Winter as a backup singer for their 2015 season.

Jeff Ganis plays lead guitar and Jim Harabedian plays bass guitar (and occasionally some percussion) for the Eastern Hellbenders; both are also members of the classic rock cover band Prankster.

Alan Tofig brings his unique touch to the band playing mandolin/banjo/dobro and guitar.  Alan was a founding member of local favorite PA band "Well Strung" and continues to play with the Well Strung Acoustic Trio.

On percussion is Zach Romano.  Having played for over 25 years, Zach's influences include Marc Quinones (of the Allman Brothers Band) and Mickey Hart (of The Grateful Dead).  He has played with great local artists such as Walnut Street, Ten Foot Tall Band and What the Funk.
